This Privacy Policy explains how AMH Stays Pvt Ltd ("AMH Stays", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use www.ammanhostels.com (the "Website"), contact us, or stay at our hostels. We follow applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• When you enquire or book a visit: your name, phone number, the branch and room sharing you prefer, and your preferred visit date.
• When you contact us on WhatsApp, phone or email: your phone number or email address and the messages you send.
• When you join as a resident: your name, contact details, address, a government photo ID, an emergency contact, and your workplace or college details.
• When you pay: the payment amount, date, transaction reference and status. Card, UPI and net-banking details are handled by the payment gateway, not by us.
• When you browse the Website: basic technical information that browsers and servers normally record, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, in server logs.

2. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange visits and share rent and joining details.
• To register you as a resident, as required for safety and by local authorities.
• To process rent and other payments, issue receipts and make refunds.
• To send you service messages about your stay, payments and hostel updates.
• To keep the Website and our hostels safe and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing your information

We share personal information only when needed, with:

• Payment gateway and banks, to process payments and refunds.
• Service providers who help us run the Website and our communication, such as our web hosting provider and WhatsApp messaging service.
• Police or government authorities, when required by law, such as resident verification.

4. Cookies and local storage

The Website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one small setting in your browser to remember your language choice (English or Tamil). The Website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the fonts load. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

5. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Resident and payment records are kept for as long as you stay with us and afterwards for the period required by law, such as for tax and accounting.

The Website uses HTTPS encryption. We limit access to personal information to staff who need it, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for messages, by contacting us below. Some information may need to be kept to meet legal obligations.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the Website.
